SOVA a Holistic Platform
To enable smallholder farmers (SHFs) in developing countries to flourish in a changing environment full of changes and crises, it is crucial to provide solutions that address critical gaps simultaneously. These challenges include inadequate water infrastructure, limited access to energy, outdated agricultural technologies, and barriers to sophisticated markets.
The SOVA platform delivers comprehensive solutions to all these gaps. Most importantly, it focuses on empowerment of people. By empowering the SHFs, their communities, promoting connections and knowledge sharing. By building internal leadership and expertise within SHF communities. This includes a dedicated and qualified group of community members, called Agri-Entrepreneurs (AEs), who are trained to mediate the implementation of advanced technologies from around the world for the benefit of SHFs.This holistic solution is structured into two physical components:
1) The SOVA Center: This includes expertise hubs with specialists for each challenge (e.g., water technologies to address water deficiency).
2) Simple Kits with adjusted materials and guidance: These kits, designed and assembled in the SOVA Center, provide SHFs with the materials and tailored technologies needed to overcome their critical gaps.
